The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (Undergraduate) or NEET, formerly the All India Pre-Medical Test, is an all India pre-medical entrance test for students who wish to pursue undergraduate medical (MBBS), dental (BDS), and AYUSH (BAMS, BUMS, BHMS, etc.) courses in government and private institutions in India and also, for those intending to pursue primary medical qualification abroad.
The National Testing Agency (NTA) usually declares the NEET results nearly a month after the entrance exam. This means that the NTA would declare the NEET 2021 entrance exam result by October 12,2021 as the exam was held on September 12,2021 in offline mode. Around 16 lakh candidates appeared for the NET 2021 entrance exam.
For your information, a Few days back, a PIL was filed in the SC seeking re-exam and the development sparked speculations that NEET 2021 results would be delayed. The petition seeking a re-exam has been filed by advocate Mamata Sharma, to ‘protect the interest of genuine, deserving and meritorious candidates’.
