The Transport Department of Odisha was founded to carry out the Indian Motor Vehicles Act 1988. The main objective of the department is to provide an efficient transport facility and to implement the rules laid down on the M.V Act. With around 50 lakh-registered vehicles with a revenue generation of Rs. 910 crore as per the stats of the Year 2014-15, carry out the administrative machinery is a multidisciplinary approach.
